Our Goal and Motivation
Collaborative Good is a US based company consisting of a series of platforms designed to create and promote, human powered, worker centric, sustainable, American businesses. Each platform in the series is equipped with resources to aid in one part of the creation and growth process, from inception to the sale of goods and services. To summarize what we mean in our description of the types of businesses we build, human powered= businesses that incorporate minimal use of AI. Subsisting instead on a primarily human workforce. Worker centric= businesses that place a premium on fair profit distribution, worker compensation and favorable working conditions. Sustainable= businesses that optimize operating practices in a way that results in minimal negative impacts on the environment. American= businesses that employ a predominantly America based workforce.
Our mission is to capture the skills, ingenuity and determination of those who have been sidelined in the current economic climate due to AI, outsourcing, and lack of entry level job opportunities. We want to harness these tools and use them to create businesses that not only offer great products and services but also re-direct the dominant business culture in a manner that positively impacts society.
We believe that building a large network of businesses incorporating the principles mentioned above in their practices, that also offer a plethora of product and service options, can reduce the need to patronize the ones with practices that negatively impact society. Over time and through competition this will create a ripple effect transforming the dominant business culture in our society and addressing many of the problems stemming from it.
Whether lack of employment opportunities and the AI take over, wealth inequality and the problems it creates, or pollution and the climate crisis, we believe each of these problems are rooted in the ethics and culture of the companies upon which we rely and thus must be addressed there. One of the ways to do this is through actively choosing to engage only with businesses that don’t contribute to these problems. In order of business development progression
The Genysis Network is the first stop in our site series. This platform consists of a forum to share business ideas, interact and collaborate on projects with individuals who may have similar or complementary skill sets. The site also includes a classifieds section where users… Visitors our encouraged to start here as they begin planning their business ventures.
The engine of our series, the Paciscor is a crowdfunding site. On Paciscor business creators receive funding based not only the quality of their ideas for products and services but also based on the policies and practices they intend to implement while running their business. The site gives potential backers the opportunity to negotiate pledges from business creators to implement favorable practices and policies in exchange for funding. Businesses are encouraged to adhere to their pledges through an incentive program.
Upon establishing a business and developing a product or service ready for market, business creators are encouraged to begin selling on the Collaborative Good marketplace platform Good Companies. Here they will have the option of creating their own store over which they will have complete control. They’ll also be able to create a business profile providing information to potential customers. A unique feature business owners will find on Good Companies is the ability to pay a flat rate monthly membership fee to sell.
Good jobs is a platform for new and growing businesses to begin posting ads for newly available employment opportunities.
